Silliness goeth before the Fall

There seems to be some kind of meme or game going around wherein you're obliged to take and post photos of your kid(s) with pumpkins. I'm not sure why, but hey, I hate to be left out, and I'm long past thinking I'm too cool to participate. So I hauled all the pumpkins I had to prematurely hack off the vine when we got 8 inches of snow last week out onto the deck, and tried to pose you with them.

You were more interested in throwing them.

To make sure I got the theme covered, in case I was misunderstanding, I tried posing you with a potato and a couple of onions as well. Just in case. (I'd hate to look silly).

You weren't all that impressed, so you buggered off. (I guess that one shoe offended you somehow as well.)

So I gave up on you and just posed the vegetables. It's ART, okay?

You finally decided you might be interested, at least in continuing to throw them. Nothing makes a good hefty thunk on hardwood like a medium-sized pumpkin.

I feel so much better for participating.

Ha! I always wondered how people got their kids to six and pose for pumpkin pictures. My son would be more like Xander, pumpkin toss time! Love Xander's shoes and cool pictures too!

Ha - that's hilarious! We haven't even gotten Blair a Halloween costume, so obviously we're way behind on the entire fall frenzy. He is absolutely adorable, by the way.

Keely, your obvious attempts to conform are transparent at best. How dare you attempt individuality-ism (that can't be a word) by posing your child with vegetables other than the traditional pumpkin and/or gourds? Shame on you for attempting to break free from the rest of us sheep.

This lecture sounded better in my head, I'm rambling but not making a point. Oh well ;) Cute pictures.

Totally love the shoes - where did you get those? I want to buy Lena a pair. I figure I may as well embrace her new butch look.

I'm not sure what I love most here. His rosey cheeks? Those shoes? His throwing a shoe off? Possibly his total disregard for what you were trying to accomplish? I think thats it, the last one. He is YUMMY.

Haha, don't stress. Casey just wanted to throw them too. And JJ wanted to eat them.
