Because teaching you made-up stuff is kinda what parenting is all about

Me, showing you how to use a Play-Doh press: "See, sweetie, you just put the Play-Doh in here, and then you squeeze these parts together, and bbllleaaaaaaaah! The Play-Doh comes out the other side."

You, finally mastering the squeeze: "Blleeeeah!"

Me: "Good job!"

You: "It bleeaah-ing! Look, it bleeaaaah-ing! I bleeaaah-ing it!"

Me: "That's some nice bleeaaah-ing, sweetie."

Rereading a log of words my kids made up when small provides me with much humor and laughter now that they are grown!

It is your parental obligation and just plain fun teaching them new stuff. Funny stuff that will mess with their heads later.

One of my friends refused to let Play-Doh in her house. Just think of all the good bleeaaahing she missed out on!

Made up words are awesome, just ask Sarah Palin. She makes up a new one ALL the time. My current favourite is "refudiate."
