Let us all celebrate with bouncy castles.
But not, as some if us may have, by putting our 3 year olds alone onto a hay ride, with the expectation that said hay ride wouldn't, say, start leaving the grounds entirely, with your baby perched precariously on the rickety edge, bound for parts unknown, while you trotted ineffectually after it trying not to panic.
No, that's not very celebratory at all.
(You were unharmed and unfazed. Back in ten minutes. I, however, may have a few new patriotic grey hairs.)

I love the kitty pic! I had a scary Canada Day event as well...Thinking of avoiding all public gatherings and putting my kids in a plastic bubble until they are at least 18.
Happy Canada Day! Looks like fun.
Gah! I'd have panicked too. Love that kitty face.
Holy crap, scary! The kids had a hay ride at their old school that consisted of bails of hay in the back of someone's pickup truck. The dude was going like 45mph through the parking lot as I watched them speed away, I was terrified too!
X is a cutie, as always. Love the kitty face.
I love watching kids having fun.
